In 2003 I was a busker booking into various towns, I'd load the car with my gear, home made backing tracks & guitar & cds'. I'd pick my brother up along the way or he'd meet me there.
It was pretty good saturday job but I felt there was more to us than that.
So I wrote this song and recorded it spare room of my Penge, South London Flat.
My brother couldn't stand it at first LOL but eventually after a few months of my loving brotherly charm ( ie we both had nothing better to do ) he recorded the vocal.
I then registered the finished recording with the UK Charts and planned a 4 month busking campaign that eventually lead to a top chart placement of 21 in the national charts & no 2 in the indy charts October 2004.
I foolishly thought that by drumming up interest and achieving a respectable chart place that it would lead somewhere.
Unfortunately, I was wrong and despite featuring in all the UK national news even having Radio 1 chart call me during the our chart placing.
UK Radio & TV Stations were sent videos & copies of the single but no one actually played the song.
And we quickly disappeared back onto the streets..
Anyway despite all that I've learnt over the many years that have past that people still have love for this song and if that's you & you've just bought it for £1.. then you have my sincere gratitude
